July 21st, 2014 BEST WEEK EVER :)

Where do I even begin!!!
Wow.  BEST WEEK EVER.
So Josselyn had her baptism interview and when we walked up to her house she was all dressed up and had set a table with her scriptures and all of the pamphlets with glasses of water for us and the elders. The tablecloth was white.... of course for her baptism. She is darling!!! I love her so much!!!

I went on exchanges with Hna. Santos this week in San Francisco!! It is like the most magical place in Guatemala! I love it there. You can see three volcanoes form the view on top of their house and HNA. MOORE LIVES THERE.  I was in heaven. We may or may not have talked for like 3 hours.... :) But we saw so many miracles there. One of them being Byron!! He has investigated the church for a year and couldn’t be baptized because he wasn’t married to his wife but now he has settled some things and is getting baptized this Saturday!! he visited with us in the morning and his testimony is amazing. He said this is the happiest year of my life but now that i am getting baptized, i am 1000 times happier than before. He is amazing!! I attached pic with him!!

Okay here it goes.... the milagro!!!! AYLIN!!! So we were only going to have one baptism this Saturday... well we had a cita at 4 with Aylin and Josselyn went with us. We taught about baptism and challenged her to be baptized, her adoptive dad, who is also her uncle, was like she just wants to get baptized Hermana’s. She is just shy to say it! So she looks at us and was like I demand you guys to baptize me so we were trying to figure out when and I just felt like tell her today at 7 is fine.... so I did.... and she said yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what!! so we planned her baptism in less than 2 hours. She told me that when she had doubts about Joseph Smith that my testimony of him really stuck with her. I had told her about how watching the history of his life made me realize no one would suffer such things for a lie!!! so that night she looked it up on youtube and told me she felt something different. a tranquilidad. I have never felt so happy in my entire life. It was the craziest day of my life but I have never felt so happy. So Josselyn and Aylin were both baptized on Saturday!! I love being a missionary!! The lord is truly blessing us with miracles. I cannot even begin to explain how I feel. Just remember a simple and sincere testimony does more than we will ever know!!!

I love you alllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 14th, 2014 Miracles, I love you all, go visiting with the missionaries !

Wow. This week.... let’s start with the series of unfortunate events
Germany won..... messi lost :(

I found a tarantula in my house and then lost it for 5 hours. I walked around in fear forever and as I was leaving the house I turned around and there is was.... it was probably about the size of my head. It was terrifying. let’s hope I don’t find more....

So my comp let our phone in a tienda and we didn’t remember until like 30 minutes later. I asked the bishop to call the phone and I gave him the number but it was the number of elders in the capital... oops. I had the wrong number written down. I had just recently put 150 quets of minutes on the phone ( and we transfer it by telling the number, I said the wrong number to the guy but it miraculously transferred to our number!! miracles of the Lord.

We are having lessons with each member in our ward and we couldn’t find the house of one member and we were late. My comp fell down and got scraped up pretty bad! So I tried to call the Hermana to tell her what had happened... phone died. This all happened in 2 days.... it was rough.

Now for the miracles.....
I have never had a week so full of miracles in my whole mission. We found this one lady whose husband just left her and we were able to help her understand better the Atonement of Jesus Christ and she came to the activity on Saturday in our ward and is going to read the Book of Mormon!! The Lord truly put us in her path

Josselyn!!! Is getting baptized next Saturday!!! We showed up to her house and couldn’t really teach her a lesson because her baby was crying a lot but we just said baptism and she was like oh yah I am getting baptized. You guys said there is a baptism for the 19th right??? ummm yeah!!! She is reading the book of Mormon too and all of the pamphlets we give her!!!! I love my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

La familia Garcia Perez. So the Hermana was sitting outside and I was like let’s talk to this lady here!! she told us her husband doesn’t like any church and really isn’t into religion. I was like but can we talk to him and so we did..... I have never seen a man with such perfect questions. As we started sharing our message with him, he was like I am just trying to find the truth but everywhere i go the people are screaming our yelling in their prayers and I just don’t feel like that is God. We were able to explain to him that God talks to us through the Spirit, quietly and peacefully. He then asked when we have our services!!!! So we told me when we would pass by for them at 830. We walk by at 835 and they are all outside in their Sunday clothes!! and he read the whole pamphlet and was asking about apostasy!! homeboy says what!! no one even understands it here but he does and he had so many questions!!! We went after church and he is so excited to read the book of Mormon!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then we get to church and 2 other families we are teaching showed up and 2 other investigators along with them!!! I just had an overload of joy. and I got to speak in sacrament...one of my favorite things. I seriously know that the Lord has prepared this people and has trusted Hna. Aguilar and I with them!! I am so excited to see them progress and learn more!! This Gospel is incredible!!!!!!!!!!
Well I am on cloud 9!! No worries about me. I love you all tons!! Go visit with the missionaries this week!! Invite a family over for family home evening!! be a light unto those looking for the truth!!!!!!!!!!!

July 7th, 2014 Man I love Guatemala!!! It is so beautiful here!!!

I went to a waterfall today!! Man I love Guatemala!!! It is so beautiful here!!! I taught my Mexican zone leader the saying Cool Beans too. It was a good day. hahahah. Oh and I ate real Mexican food.. in Guatemala....  Yummy!!!

This week has been an interesting one. I ate Muddy Buddies and sang Patriotic songs on the 4th... no worries there. Still got my American pride...   MER..ICA…(redneck voice)

The Elders locked us in the chapel this week... that was fun.... not. They accidentally did it. Luckily I had the phone.

This week we had an awesome investigator come to church!! All investigators are awesome right but she is just so pilas!!!! She is the first person that I contacted here... Joselin. I love her so much!! She wants to be a missionary like us and has so many questions. She is going to the Relief Society activity on Tuesday and the members are just welcoming her so well!! She just has something special about her. I know the Lord leads us to those who are truly prepared.

The family that came last week couldn’t come this week but he drives a tuc tuc and saved us this week from the rain!! Gotta love the little miracles the Lord puts in our way.

One family that is less active and has not wanted anything to do with the church came to church on Sunday!! We visited them on Saturday and they wanted to give their baby a blessing and now we are going to have a family home evening with them tonight!! I know the Lord puts us where He needs us. We just have to trust in Him and follow Him. He knows us better than we know ourselves. I testify of that.

We have decided to have a family home evening with every member. it is going to be challenging to get everyone in but they are all so excited. I love this ward so much!! They are so loving and willing to serve. I am so grateful the Lord has called me here to the Union.

We visited this family with three little girls and the dad was saying how he wants them all to go missions. I just saw myself and my sisters in these little girls. It was overwhelming to be in their house and feel the love of their father for each and every one of them but more importantly his love for the Lord. I am so grateful to have been raised in a home where the truth is taught. I love my family so much and I love this Gospel.
Thank you so much for your examples and your love!!! You are amazing!!
I love you!!!   xoxoxo

June 30th, 2014 Adios... Concepion "Conce" and Hola Mazatenango

Welcome to America in Guatemala.... aka Mazatenango... the land of deer. But seriously. It has taco bell.... taco bell!!! and Little Caesar’s. It is crazy. It is kind of fitting for the 4th of July this week!!!

Leaving Çonce was so hard for me and Hna. Briceño. We truly love these people so much!!!!!! Victor was just like what!!! then I gave him a corte tie and he was freaking out. I couldn’t help but cry. then as we left his house a drunk man chased me down,  it  was terrifying but i am okay. no worries. the worst part was saying goodbye to Carolina. She just bawled and her son Benji just shoved his face in my shirt and started crying. I know they have truly felt the Gospel changing their lives. Slowly but surely. I know the Lord put me here in Conce to have more faith and truly learn to depend on the Lord.

Alma 32. 40 -41 has been my scripture for this area.
40 And thus, if ye will not nourish the word, looking forward with an eye of faith to the fruit thereof, ye can never pluck of the fruit ofthe tree of life.
41 But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.

I didn’t have the faith to work miracles when I started here.I just kept looking back and couldn’t see forward but I have learned to trust in the Lord. Have the faith that he will put the people I am supposed to meet in my path. this place truly is sacred for me. I love these people sooooooooooooooooooooooo much and it has hurt so much to go but I am ready to work hard here in Mazate.

Çhanges!! I arrived in a coca cola truck... long story but it was hilarious. I am going to miss Hna. Briceño. my new comp is Hna. Aguilar from Peru!! She is soooooooooooooooooooo humble and adorable. She reminds me a lot of Meridian!!! I know we are going to learn a lot together!! I am in La Union and this place is a miracle ground. I can feel it!!! the people and members are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo loving and really just want to serve and love everyone. Not even kidding. One family gives us dinner every Sunday and they don’t have that much but they do it with a smile and soooooooooooooo much love. I already feel so much love for the people here!! I think it will be my last area... weird.

So we met this family on Saturday and they said they would come to church!!! woohoo!! we had like 6 other people who said they would go to but everyone got sick!! we showed up to church with no one. I felt terrible and i was so worried about it. then I remembered... this day is not about you. It is about christ. So I started to read some hymns and really focused on the sacrament. When it ended, i looked up and this beautiful family walked in!!! they came but themselves. the Lord is so good!!! I love being a missionary. never lose faith or hope or patience!!!!

I am so happy to be here.I know the Lord has a lot for me to do here!! I loveyou all!!!!
